We need to establish a set of reliable assumptions or data for the climate work. At the moment there is no established set of fundamentals that we can base our activities upon, and there are no authoritative voices that we can trust. Everybody including the politicians know what is most important and act acoordingly. We have a confused situation!
We need some kind of Scientific Advisory Board formed by a panel of internationally acknowledged scholars in climate research. The mandate is to provide advice and assessment of the quality and foci of the Norwegian environmental programme, as well as fostering the integration with the international research community, reports, IPCC etc.
All countries surely needs such a body?
